Another Dead Rockstar (Tony Brigante and Wayne Lucina)

It has been a minute, but we are back!  We spent some time in the clubhouse with Wayne Lucina and Tony Brigante of the band Another Dead Rockstar!  We talked about how they met, how they work together, and what drives them creatively.  As a colossal treat, we listened to a few tracks off of their album, Aloha Mr. Hand.

Tony Troy

We had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with artist, musician, and playwright Tony Troy! His story takes us from the streets of London, where he got his start as a street artist, all the way to the Off-Broadway stage with the premiere of his musical The Flute Player’s Song. Along the way, Tony’s incredible portrait work earned him a place in the Royal Society of Portrait Painters of Great Britain and the Pastel Society of Great Britain. He’s not just a brilliant artist—he’s also a fantastic storyteller. Wait until you hear how he went from sleeping in an abandoned building to resting his head in the Palace of Westminster.  So kick back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy this amazing episode!

Ty Wilson

What a fantastic conversation!  We sat down with Ty Wilson, woodworker, graphic designer, game enthusiast- OH! and he also happens to be the Executive Director for Mainstreet Hammonton.  Take a listen while we dive deep into trying new things, wrestling with self-doubt, and acknowledging the creative spirit that exists in each of us.

A proud alumna of Hammonton High School, Savanna shared how her passion for journalism was ignited during her high school years and how it feels to report on the community where she grew up. Our conversation also delved into her experiences in competitive dance and pageant competitions, highlighting the diverse paths that have shaped her journey. 

Heidi Lee

What a fantastic conversation!  We sat down with the amazing, Heidi Lee!!  Heidi shared her passion for fitness and bodybuilding.  We talked about how Heidi first got into bodybuilding, how she overcame not only the physical challenges, but the emotional and mental ones as well.  
She started her own business, Pose Pros.  Teaching posing for competitors looking to master their stage presence, 
Beyond the world of fitness and modeling, we also touched on Heidi's deep love for music and how it continues to influence her emotionally and creatively.

Laura Bethmann

We sat down with the wonderful, Laura Bethmann! Laura is a great part of what keeps Art Club moving forward.  We chatted about her amazing work in nature printing, watercolor, and illustration.  She is an award-winning artist and author, Laura’s books about Nature Printing are published by Storey Publishing, North Adams, MA. David Lichtenstein

What a cool episode?!  Chances are some of you may have some of this week's guests' work in your house, and not even know it!  Sam and Don sat down with the wonderfully talented David Lichtenstein!   David has designed everything from watches, bags, SLGs and jewelry for such brands as Lucky, Juicy Couture, Kenneth Cole, Enyce, Ralph Lauren, & Michael Kors.    While at Michael Kors, he shifted again to become the Director of Hardware Design for handbags and footwear.  He now continues an expanded version of that role at G-iii, designing hardware for all aspects of their flagship and new brands' clothing, outerwear, and accessories.  We talked with David about his work, his love of gaming, and some of his favorite artists.  This is definitely an episode not to be missed.  As a bonus, stick around for our first mini episode as we chat with some young folks about what makes them feel creative.

Jewelissa

We sat down with the amazing, Jewelissa!  Jewelissa is a multi-hyphenate performer based in South Jersey & Philadelphia, renowned for their theatrical burlesque, fusion belly dance, silk fan veil prowess, and more. You may have seen her at BeardFest, Lunar Faire, or Philly’s OurFest! She was a featured performer at the 2024 RVA Burlesque Festival. In addition to her work as a performer, Jewelissa is an instructor and the Director of Community Engagement at the Philadelphia Burlesque Academy, teaching all levels burlesque technique, bellylesque, fan veil technique, & choreography.  We sat down with Jewelissa and discussed her performance journey, her experience in clowning, and where she gets her inspiration for her acts.  You can follow Jewelissa on instagram at www.instagram.com/jewelissa

We had the pleasure of chatting with Matt, a friend from Sam's childhood.  After years of working at Starbucks, Matt went back to school to become a therapist.  We talked with Matt about his journey, a tough encounter with a former Marine, and being challenged by social interactions.
